Slovenia Expects Withdrawal of Meat Embargo Decree

Brussels, 18 January - EU/SLOVENIA/MEAT/EMBARGO
Slovenia expects that the EU veterinary board will withdraw December's decree to impose a meat embargo on Slovenia as of 1 February, Director of the Slovene Veterinary Administration (VURS) Zoran Kovac told the press after he had a meeting with EU officials on Tuesday. The veterinary board will meet on 25 January. Its opinion is essential as it forms the basis for the final decision which will be taken by the European Commission.
