Slovene Ethnic Minority Meets with Maselli

In a bid to break the deadlocked parliamentary debate on the bill to protect the Slovene ethnic minority in Italy, a group of Slovene minority representatives met on Tuesday with several Italian officials, including Senator Domenico Maselli, who drafted the bill. The delegation to Rome consisted of members of the Slovene party, the Slovene Community, and the umbrella organisation The Council of Slovene Organisations (SSk). Later in the day, the Italian lower house of parliament rescheduled the debate on the bill for Friday.
