VAT and Excise Duty Inflow In Line with Expectations

Net inflow of the value added tax, which was newly introduced in Slovenia last July, ranges from SIT 31 to SIT 33 billion (euro 157 and 167 million) a month, with monthly net inflow from excise duty amounting to SIT 10 (euro 52 million) to 11 billion (euro 156 million). This means that the six-month inflow plan will be fully realised, Finance Ministry State Secretary Milojka Kolar said after Thursday's government session, at which the ministers were briefed on the implementation of the VAT Act.
