Racan Foretells of Effort for Change

President of the Croatian social-democrats (SDP) and the man in charge of forming the new government, Ivica Racan, was the guest at the 20th chat headed by assistant President of the United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) at the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre on Saturday night. Racan announced that the new Croatian government will attempt to redeem the tough social and economic position of Croatia, will strive for democratisation and for the carrying out of basic human rights including the return of Serbs to their homes as well as the return of Croatians to Bosnia. Racic further foretold of co-operation with Europe as well as a further improvement in relations with Slovenia and hoped that still open issues between the two neighbouring countries could be solved in the near future.
