20th Anniversary of Phone Line for Mental Distress

Approximately three percent of the Slovene population annually turn to psychiatric hospitals for help due to a wide variety of reasons associated with mental problems and distress. The number of people who find themselves in a personal crisis is assessed to be even greater than that. The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that the number of those that experience a psychological disturbance at least once in their lives lies between 15 and 20 percent.
