Ciampi Meets Representatives of Slovene Minority in Italy

Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi on Wednesday received a joint delegation from all organisations of the Slovene ethnic minority in Italy. These assessed the meeting positively and stressed that the Italian president showed a genuine interest in the protection of the Slovene ethnic minority and familiarity with the issue of ethnic minorities in Italy and Europe. The fact that President Ciampi received the delegation in such an important moment proves the wish to highlight the issue of protection of Slovene minority.
