Leaders of SDS, SKD and SLS Reiterate Their Support for Coalition

Ljubljana, 26 January - PARTIES/MERGERS
Head of the opposition Slovene Christian Democrats (SKD) Lojze Peterle stated on Radio Ognijsce that "there is still no set date for the merger" between the SKD and the Slovene People's Party (SLS). He stated that the SLS has 'special problems' which are related to the persistence of the coalition government led by Janez Drnovsek. Both parties require at least another month to prepare the amalgamation and election congress.
