New Croatian Foreign Minister Believes in Good Relations with Slovenia

Zagreb, 27 January - Croatia's new Foreign Minister Tonino Picula is convinced that Slovene-Croatian relations and co-operation can be improved, he said in his first official statement after the new Croatian government has been confirmed. In Picula's view, Europe would not be willing to incorporate Slovene and Croatian problems, together with Slovenia and Croatia. A great deal of open issues can be settled, but it is vital that negotiators from both sides get rid of the pressures of disputes at home, Picula added on Thursday.
