Slovenia Expects At Least Three EU Inspections in 2000

Slovenia is to be visited at least three times by EU veterinary inspectiors this year, with the first team of inspectors being very likely to check milk and dairy processing techniques. The inspectors are expected here in May or June. After a number of shortcomings were found out in a series of inspections in the Slovene milk-processing facilities licensed to export to the EU, the Veterinary Administration of Slovenia (VURS) tasked the dairies to take appropriate measures and implement them by the middle of March.
