Worker Dies in the Acroni Steelworks Accident

Jesenice, 2 June - A grave accident happened at the Jesenice-based steelworks company Acroni,(some 70 km northwest of Ljubljana) on Friday. A 50-year old worker died from poisoning by carbon dioxide, while three gravely injured workers were transported to a hospital in Austria after receiving emergency care at the Jesenice hospital. Two other workers received minor injures and are being treated at the Jesenice hospital, the Kranj police reported.
