Ministries to Assist in Financing of Unitech's Expansion in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 7 June - Outgoing Minister for Economic Affairs Tea Petrin together with the Outgoing Minister for Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur and Outgoing Minister for Science and Technology Lojze Marincek on Wednesday signed a contract on the co-financing of the constructions of the company TCG Unitech. This company which is 100 percent owned by a foreign partner, began to carry out an extensive programme of investment in the past years which also includes a demanding programme of pressurised casting aluminium and magnesium which the company will carry out in the manufacturing hall of the former steel manufacturer Litostroj. The value of the first phase of investment in the mentioned manufacturing programme amounts to DEM 30 million, while the ministers will assure SIT 220 million (DEM 2.1 million) in non-refundable assistance, said Director of TCG Unitech Anton Papez at the press conference which followed the signing of the agreement. Papez expressed his satisfaction with the state's willingness to assist and pointed out the preparedness of the company to co-operate with the state in the future.
