The Association of Lipica Friends Opposes the Adopted Agricultural Act

The Association of Lipica friends submitted to parliament a letter of protest against the agriculture act, which has been passed recently. The adoption of the act was justified by the government and parliament with the necessity to align the Slovene legislation to the EU acquis, the letter goes. Yet the 48th article is disputable, since it nullifies the decree on the protection of the geographic origin of the name Lipizzaner, the association argues. The association demands that parliament should annul the disputed agricultural act or protect the legal enforcement of the decree with adequate interpretation of the act.
