Bajuk and Several Ministers Attend Ceremony to Mark 450 Years of Slovene Literature

Ljubljana, 11 June - The central ceremony to mark the 450th anniversary of the first Slovene book in Rasica na Dolenjskem, Southern Slovenia, on Sunday was attended by several ministers from the newly appointed Slovene government under the leadership of Prime Minister Andrej Bajuk. In his opening speech Bajuk reminded that language is used to preserve and develop a nation's originality, while a book enables its cultural existence. A book also allows an individual and a nation to enter the realms of history, something that especially holds true for Slovenes. Bajuk added "lets respect and preserve this precious heritage so that we may pass it on to future generations as invaluable riches".
