Peterle Says the New Government Has the Will to Speed up Preparations for the EU

Luxembourg, 13 June - Slovenia's new government has the political will to accelerate the preparations for full membership in the European Union, Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle stressed in Luxembourg on Tuesday. "There will be no holiday for us this year," said Peterle, who joined his counterparts from 11 candidate countries in a meeting with the chair of the Council of the EU, Portuguese Foreign Minister Jaime Gama, and European Commissioner for Enlargement Guenter Verheugen.
