Female to Direct Slovene Feature Film for the First Time

Ljubljana, 14 June - The crew who will make a Slovene feature film which will be directed by a female director - a unique event in the history of Slovene film - will start shooting on 15 June along the river Kolpa on the border with Croatia. Entitled "The Guardian of Border", this psychological thriller will be directed by Maja Weiss. In addition to being directed by a female filmmaker, the film will also be produced by a woman, Ida Weiss. Based on an idea of Maja Weiss, the screenplay was written by Zoran Hocevar and Norman Brock, an Englishman who is also working for the U.S. production house Miramax.
