All Negotiating Chapters Tabled at EU Accession Negotiations

Luxembourg, 14 June - The EU opened negotiations on agriculture with Slovenia and other five front-runner EU candidates (Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, and Cyprus) as the final of a total of 29 chapters of the acquis communautaire, in Luxembourg on Wednesday. Talks between the EU and the candidate countries are conducted between ministers. They are a part of regular biannual ministerial meetings at which the work done over the past six months is reviewed and officially confirmed. The Slovene delegation is led by Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle.
