Geoplin Records Almost SIT 1.2 Billion of Profits in 1999

Ljubljana, 15 June - Shareholders of the Slovene gas company Geoplin have adopted the annual report on business operations in 1999 and agreed on the distribution of profits proposed by the board. Shareholders also discussed the report on the implementation of decisions made at last year's general meeting that refer to the regulation of the legal status of the company. Geoplin concluded last year with net profits of SIT 1.165 billion (5.7 million euros), which is a 65-percent increase from 1998.
