The ITF to Demine 7 Million Sq. Metres of Land This Year

Ljubljana, 15 June - The International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance in Bosnia (ITF), which was founded by Slovenia, plans to demine over seven millions square metres of land this year and rehabilitate at least 200 mine victims from Bosnia and Kosovo. The fund, which has successfully operated in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo, will expand its activities to Macedonia and Albania as well. Jernej Cimpersek, the ITF director, stressed that Slovene businessmen only rarely make donations to the ITF, although they are largely represented in Bosnia by the number of investment.
