Jelincic Urges for a Meeting of Parliamentary Committe in Regard to Intelligence Office Scandal

Ljubljana, 16 June - Zmago Jelincic, head of the deputy group of the Slovene National Party (SNS), sent a letter to the chairman of the parliamentary committee that monitors the implementation of the resolution on guidelines of Slovenia's national security, Branko Janc, proposing to call a session to discuss the recent scandal at the Slovene Intelligence Office (OVS) of the Defence Ministry. The Slovene Intelligence Office in the 'Sava operation' arbitrarily worked for the U.S. Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) in third countries, in particular on the territory of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, although no international agreement on co-operation between the DIA and the OVS exists.
