International Conference on the Implementation of European Structural Funds in Bled

Bled, 16 June - More than one hundred experts and high officials from the EU members states and candidate countries gathered on Friday at the lake-side resort of Bled at an international conference on the implementation of European structural funds. The conference falls in the framework of activities within a specially prepared PHARE programme for structural policies, which is being carried out by the Slovene Government Office for Regional Development and the Dutch Economic Institute. The main aim of the conference is to exchange experiences in the preparations for membership in concern to the working of structural funds, which are regarded as integral instruments for the development of the EU.
