First European Meeting of the Deaf Concludes in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 16 June - The first European conference of the deaf concluded on Friday at Ljubljana's cultural and conference centre Cankarjev Dom. The conference was attended by representatives from 22 European countries, the leadership of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) and the representatives of the hosts (The Slovene Association of Societies for the Deaf). The participants discussed relevant issues including the improved flow of information and knowledge, as well as the guarantee of rights to the deaf.
