Slovenia Unsuccessful in Second Attempt at Euro 2000

Ljubljana, 18 June - The Slovene national football team lost their second round match at the Euro 2000 against Spain by 2:1. In a game with many opportunities Slovenia used only one while allowing Spain to score two soft goals. The loss leaves Slovenia with one point in Group C, while Spain collects its first points and now has three to move ahead of Slovenia.
