European Affairs Section at Foreign Ministry Should be Strengthened, Peterle Says

Ljubljana, 19 June - In an interview for POP TV's news programme, Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle discussed Slovene integration into the EU, the strategy of lobbying in Brussels and Sunday's commemoration of post-World War II killings in Kocevski Log. Peterle opened by saying that he does not believe that any set dates for EU enlargement will come out of the Portugal summit, while a realistic date for Slovene membership encompasses dates after 2003.
