Unemployment on the Decline

Ljubljana, 21 June - The unemployment rate continued the downfall trend in May. Slovenia saw 104,777 unemployed persons at the end of May, a drop of 3.2 percent over April, and 12.7 percent less compared to May 1999. The first five months of 2000 saw 110,667 unemployed persons on average, which is a drop of 10.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
