ITF Should Become Demining Agency for SE Europe

Brdo pri Kranju, 21 June - Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle, who opened a two-day regional conference on land mines at Brdo Castle, highlighted a Slovene proposal by which the International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF), which Slovenia established more than two years ago, would gain the status of an agency for the demining of South East Europe within the Balkan Stability Pact. 90 officials from over 30 countries and NGOs take part in the conference.
