Britain Supports EU Enlargement and Slovenia's EU Membership, Says Top Slovene Official

London, 21 June - The chief Slovene negotiator with the EU met several British officials during his two-day visit to London which wound up on Wednesday, and said they all expressed support for Slovenia's integration into the EU. In addition, Slovenia was labelled the best qualified EU candidate country, said Janez Potocnik, who was appointed acting Director of the government office for European affairs on Tuesday. He used the visit to brief British officials on Slovenia's accession to the 15-nation bloc. From London he will travel on to Dublin, where he will start a two-day visit tommorrow.
