Government to Adopt Report on Progress towards EU Accession after Thorough Revision, Says Peterle

Ljubljana, 22 June - The government at its Thursday's session started discussing the report on the progress made in the preparations for Slovenia's accession to the EU, which should be submitted to Brussels by the end of June as one of the basic documents for the European Commission's report. The draft report, prepared by the government office for European affairs, should be corrected due to a number of remarks, and will be finally confirmed next week, explained Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle at a news conference after the government's session. "We wish that the report reflects the actual situation, and that the decisions and intentions of the new government are evident from it," Peterle explained.
