Ivan Bizjak Attends Meeting of Ombudsmen from Central and Eastern Europe

Budapest, 23 June - Slovene Ombudsman Ivan Bizjak is on Friday attending a two-day meeting of ombudsmen from Central and Eastern Europe in Budapest at the invitation of Alvaro Gil Robles, the Human Rights Commissioner at the Council of Europe. The meeting with the Commissioner is attended by ombudsmen from eleven countries in which the ombudsman institution already operates. The meeting aims at strengthening co-operation among ombudsmen in individual countries and the commissioner, the office of the Slovene ombudsman reported.
