Smrkolj Meets With Hop Growers, Discusses Drought

Ljubljana, 23 June - Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Food Ciril Smrkolj and workers at the ministry visited the Savinjska valley, some 50 kilometres NE of Ljubljana. During the visit Smrkolj met with Zalec mayor Lojze Posedel, hop growers and the representatives of the Institute for Hop Growing and the Brewing Industry. Smrkolj's visit was aimed at establishing the damage caused by the drought which has also hit the Savinjska valley and the hop growers.
