Slovak P.M. Receives Speaker Podobnik

Ljubljana, 26 June - Slovene Speaker of Parliament Janez Podobnik was received by the Slovak Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda as part of a two-day official visit that Podobnik is paying to Slovakia at the invitation of Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Jozef Migas. Podobnik also met with Deputy Prime Minister Pavel Hamzik and Agriculture Minister Pavel Koncos. The representatives stressed that the two countries share common goals, including EU, NATO and OECD membership. In the evening Podobnik is expected to attend a reception on the occassion of the Slovene National Day, which is being prepared by the Slovene Embassy in Bratislava.
