International Colloquium on Aesthetics on the Sidelines of Manifesta 3

Ljubljana, 26 June - Slovene Aesthetics Society will organise a two-day international colloquium Aesthetics as the Philosophy of Culture on 29 June on the sidelines of the European biennial of modern art Manifesta 3. The colloquium will be held at the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovene Academy of Arts and Sciences. Well-known philosophers, professors and authors from Slovenia, Great Britain, the U.S., Sweden, Germany, Hungary, Turkey, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and China, will discuss relations between aesthetics and the praxis of art and culture, the definition of aesthetics as the philosophy of culture, and the definition of aesthetics in relation to the national culture and other, broader contexts of culture.
