Government Discusses Spring Macro-economic Report

Ljubljana, 29 June - On the basis of a discussion on the economic movements in 1999 and forecasts for 2000 and 2001, the government on Thursday labelled as favourable the general economic conditions in Slovenia. Minister for Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur, who presented the government standpoints following the discussion of the spring report published by the government Institute for Macro-Economic Analysis and Development, expressed that Slovenia can expect real economic growth for 2000 to amount to between 4.5 and 5 percent. The fuelling factor behind this growth is quick growth of Slovene exports and active investment.
