Review of the Slovene Economy from 24 through 30 June

Ljubljana, 2 July - The government delivered some good news for Slovenia's economic outlook 29 June as it labelled as favourable the general economic situation in Slovenia on the basis of a discussion on the economic movements in 1999 and forecasts for 2000 and 2001. Following the government sessions, Minister for Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur said that Slovenia can expect real economic growth for 2000 to amount to between 4.5 and 5 percent. The fuelling factor behind the growth is quick growth of Slovene exports and active investment.
