Tenth Anniversary Of The Adoption Of The Declaration on Sovereignty Of The Republic of Slovenia

Ljubljana, 2 July - Ten years to date the declaration on sovereignty of the Republic of Slovenia was adopted by the then Slovene Assembly. This document set down a one-year term within which a new constitution had to be passed, and tasked the government to establish by September 1990 which Yugoslav laws would no longer apply to Slovenia. The declaration also recalled the Slovene delegation from the then Yugoslav parliament.
