The Netherlands Supports Slovenia's Accession to the EU, Says Ybema

Ljubljana, 3 July - Slovene Minister of Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur on Monday met with Dutch Minister of External Trade Gerrit Ybema. The two officials addressed several bilateral issues and paid most attention to Dutch support for Slovenia's accession to the EU and the pre-accession help offered to Slovenia by the Netherlands. Ybema said that the Netherlands would double the help to SIT 160 million (780,000 euros) yearly. Moreover, the Dutch official promised Slovenia full support in its integration into the EU. Minister Senjur pointed out Slovenia's wish to participate in the implementation of the Stability Pact for SE Europe, and advocated the preservation of a more favourable regime in Slovenia's trade with the countries of SE Europe in the country's integration into the EU.
