Slovene Football Team Advances Five Places on FIFA Rankings

Ljubljana, 5 July - The Slovene football team placed 41st on the FIFA World Cup Rankings for July and thus moved up five places from June. The team recently played at the European Championships and surprised everyone there with their performance. Slovenia were awarded the FIFA most improved team for 1999 after they improved more than 40 places in that year.
