Oldest Slovene Citizen Celebrates Her 107th Birthday

Ljubljana, 5 July - The oldest living Slovene citizen is celebrating her 107th birthday on Wednesday. Emilija Kancut from the vicinity of the Western Slovene town of Nova Gorica was born in 1893 and believes that she can attribute her long life to hard work and "little food". Kancut is a mother of eight children, 14 grand-children, 18 great grand-children and two great great grand-children.
