Finance Minister Advocates Reduction in General Government Expenditure

Koper, 5 July - While Slovenia has entered a stage of favourable economic conditions, it is about to enter a crisis of public finance if strict restrictions are not imposed, Finance Minister Zvonko Ivanusic told a meeting of managers who convened in the seaport of Koper on Wednesday afternoon. The minister also announced he will not put forward a 2000-2004 macroeconomic plan to the government tommorrow, but only general guidelines for 2001.
