Provisional Radioactive Waste Storehouse at Zavratec Cleaned

Ljubljana, 6 July - The Agency for Radioactive Waste (RAO) successfully concluded the project of cleaning the emergency storehouse for low-level radioactive waste at Zavratec, western Slovenia. Director of the Agency Irena Mele stressed at a news conference on Thursday that the project was a kind of a course for all those involved. The successful project, which was the biggest radiological clean-up project in Slovenia so far, provided the Agency with precious experience of how to act in similar cases.
