Mayor of Maribor Writes to Croatian President Mesic

Ljubljana, 6 July - Mayor of Maribor Boris Sovic has recently received a letter from the Croatian ambassador in Ljubljana in which the mayor was informed that the Croatian Foreign Ministry had taken a decision to close the Maribor-based Croatian consulate general on 31 August. Officially established back in 1995, the consulate has never opened, even if efforts to appoint consul general have been under way.
