Partnership between Ports of Koper and Trieste Vital to Slovenia and Italy

Trieste, 6 July - The Slovene and Italian ministers for transportation agreed that a partnership between the Slovene and Italian ports of Koper and Trieste is of strategic importance to Slovenia and Italy. Anton Bergauer and Pierluigi Bersani, who met today in the Italian city of Trieste, also discussed Slovene-Italian co-operation in building a pan-European transportation link between Barcelona and Kiev. The link, also known as corridor no. 5, has been discussed from the aspect of railway infrastructure.
