Discussions Between Speaker Podobnik and PM Focus on EU Legislation

Ljubljana, 7 July - Speaker of Parliament Janez Podobnik officially met with Prime Minister Andrej Bajuk for the first time on Friday. During the meeting Bajuk handed over a list of bills which must be passed before the end of the year and concern Slovene integration into the European Union. Podobnik expressed after the meeting that the next month will continue in the sign of the number 22, since there are 22 bills proposed for August, the same number that is proposed for July. During their meeting, Podobnik and Bajuk agreed that in the near future the Prime Minster will hold an informal meeting with the leaders of the deputy groups for a discussion on the passing of this legislation.
