Festival of Friendship at the Woertersee Lake

Klagenfurt, 7 July - After the unsuccesful joint Olympic Games 2006 candidacy by Carinthia (Austria), Slovenia, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia (Italy), Carinthia's provincial governor Joerg Haider (FPOe) invited representatives of the neighbouring regions for a Festival of Friendship, which was held on Friday. Representatives from Slovenia, Germany, Italy, and Austria first participated in a reception in Klagenfurt, after which the gathering continued at the nearby Woertersee lake, Austrian Press Agency APA reported today.
