Trade Increases in May

Ljubljana, 10 July - Slovenia's exports in May amounted to US$ 713.2 million, while its imports totalled US$ 887.6 million. Trade deficit totalled US$ 174.4 million, while the export-import coverage reached 80.4 percent. Compared to May 1999, exports expressed in U.S.dollars increased by 3.8 percent, while imports fell by 0.8 percent, show provisional data of the National Statistical Office.
