Subcommittee Calls for Adoption of Labour Relations Act

Ljubljana, 10 July - The Slovenia-EU subcommittee for regional development, employment and social policy met in Ljubljana on Monday to review the latest progress made by Slovenia in adopting EU legislation in the fields the subcommittee covers. Slovenia is not lagging behind in regional development and health care, but EU officials urged Slovenia to adopt a Labour Relations Act. This piece of legislation, which has been adopted in first reading, should have been passed by the end of last year under commitments Slovenia has made, while the government is making efforts to ensure its adoption by the end of this year, Slovene members of the subcommittee said.
