Mladina: National Council Member Explains Why Senior Church Official Should Be Recalled from Slovenia

Ljubljana, 10 July - A National Council member spoke about his proposal recently addressed to the National Council that the Vatican should recall Archbishop of Ljubljana and Slovenia's Metropolitan Franc Rode because of his persistent politicisation of the Catholic Church in Slovenia and the consequences of such action. In an interview for the weekly Mladina, Dr. Veljko Rus explained his recent suggestion that a diplomatic note should be sent to the Vatican nuncio in Ljubljana in a bid to have Rode recalled from Slovenia.
