Rapporteur for Slovenia Martelli Presents Outline of Report to European Parliament

Ljubljana, 11 July - Criticism from Brussels due to the delays with the adoption of the acquis in 1998 have had a positive effect on Slovenia as the authorities accelerated efforts and with this regained Slovenia's place among the most prepared EU candidate countries for membership. This was the opinion of European Parliament rapporteur for Slovenia Claudio Martelli who on Tuesday presented the outlines of a parliamentary report on the progress of Slovenia to the European Parliament.
