President Kucan Praises Work of the Former Drnovsek Government

Ljubljana, 12 July - Slovene President Milan Kucan on Wednesday received members of the former government, led by Janez Drnovsek. Kucan used this opportunity to thank them for a job well done during the period from 1996 to early April 2000. The president's speech put an emphasis on the fact that the former government and especially certain ministries were relatively widely supported. Due to previous engagements, Drnovsek and the former labour minister, Anton Rop, could not attend the reception.
