Kucan Welcomes Adoption of Protective Legislation for Slovene Minority

Slovene President Milan Kucan welcomed yesterday's adoption of the law to protect the rights of the Slovene minority in Italy. Kucan spoke to the press after meeting representatives of the Slovene minority on Thursday. The meeting took place a day prior to Kucan's visit to Rome. "The adoption of the law is not only of great importance to Slovenes in Italy, but also to Slovenia, Italy and, last but not least, to all of Europe," said the President.
