Government Passes Joint Assessment on Midterm Employment Priorities

Ljubljana, 13 July - The government at its Thursday's session passed a joint assessment on midterm employment priorities in Slovenia which represents a series of agreed goals regarding employment and labour market, which are required for the implementation of the EU employment strategy. The document will be signed by Slovene Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Miha Brejc and the European Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs Anna Diamantopoulou, in Brussels on 18 July. The government also confirmed a report on the implementation of the project of state assistance in the personnel improvement of companies and the prevention of redundant workers becoming permanently unemployed.
